We’re coming to the end of our tour of sustainable mobility in Europe; what better way to round it off than to look at Strasbourg, the host city for EuMo Expo 2024?
Evan met France’s Grand Est Region President Franck Leroy as he stepped off the train at Strasbourg station, and asked him all about the region’s mobility strategy. They discussed the European Metropolitan Express Network being deployed around Strasbourg, Grand Est’s cross-border mobility policy and its regional modal transfer, including an ambitious project that aims to combine trains and bikes in several urban areas.
Evan was a little disappointed to learn that he’s too old to benefit from the railcard granting under-27s unlimited travel across the Grand Est region and in three German Länder for just €29 per month – how cool is that? 😎
