Established in February 2021, this Lyon-based startup provides state-of-the-art technology through a connected lock and a mobile app, delivering a simple, flexible, and secure user experience.

Fredo’s solution is built on a comprehensive ecosystem, tailored to meet the needs of both businesses and local authorities, allowing them to offer a carbon-free and eco-friendly mode of transport. With a diverse fleet of bikes—electric, standard, or refurbished—requiring no docking stations, Fredo’s approach is truly innovative.

Currently, 75% of bike-sharing services are concentrated in cities with over 500,000 inhabitants. However, half of all trips under 5 kilometers are still made by car. Fredo aims to reverse this trend by making bike-sharing accessible, even in smaller cities and towns.
