The Compagnie des Transports Strasbourgeois (CTS) invites you to discover its historic depot in Cronenbourg. Take a fascinating look behind the scenes at the network’s main production unit before entering the maintenance workshop.
Over 900 employees work here every day to ensure the network runs smoothly: from operations, where you’ll see the nerve centre that is the Centralised Control Centre; to support functions, located in the building that has been the CTS head office since 1931; and maintenance, where you will discover the “mixed” workshop, which allows for operations on both trams and buses. The staff maintain, repair and monitor rolling stock and infrastructure (track, platform, overhead contact line, workshop equipment and buildings).
You will wander between the under-floor wheel lathes and paint booths required for maintenance work.
Please come wearing shoes suitable for an industrial site (avoid heels).
