The list of start-ups qualifying for the 2024 Smart Move Challenge finals has now been released!

These nine start-ups will be pitching on Thursday 3 October live from EuMo Expo 2024 to a jury made up of professionals and other leading players in the mobility ecosystem.

Categorie – Resources and services for passengers

  • BUSPAS INC (Canada) : BusPas offers scalable technology deployed at bus stops, combining Passenger Information Display and AIoT. It transforms infrastructure into smart environments, improving quality of service and safety, and generating data for cities, authorities of mobility and transport operators. Equipped with a color screen, on-board processor and automatic lighting, the solar-powered solution can be integrated into existing street furniture or on new poles. Read more.

  • SuburVAN (France) : SuburVAN offers an alternative for the 80% of people on the outskirts of cities who use their car for commuting due to a lack of adequate public transport. Our solution combines the automation of mass-produced vans with an innovative approach that complies with French and EU legislation on automated road transport systems. Using our shared, clean vans can result in a 99% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions from commuting whilst providing a safe, effective means of transport offering connections to mass transit modes.   • Artificient Mobility Intelligence (Germany): Artificient Mobility Intelligence, a spin-off from RWTH Aachen University, transforms unused mobility data into actionable insights using crowd-sourced data and AI. Our GIZO SDK allows mobility operators to seamlessly collect anonymized data from users’ smart devices, visualizing real-time traffic flow, high-risk areas, and user demands. This enables operators to efficiently manage resources, control fleets in real-time, and reduce operational risks. Read more.
  • NexSwiss SĂ rl (Switzerland): Give your passengers a new interactive experience with augmented tourist audio guides, accessed directly via their smartphone without needing to download an app. Created using AI or manually, CityTourPlayer.com audio guides use satnav to stay synchronised with journeys on public transport routes. Easy to translate and with integrated subtitles, this marketing innovation is already being used in more than six towns and cities – and makes each journey unique. Read more.
  • Torch Smart Urban Solutions SL (Spain): TORCH addresses critical urban challenges by transforming bus stops into smart, multifunctional hubs. It solves issues of real-time information access, universal accessibility, citizen safety, and sustainability using IoT and AI-driven modular technology. TORCH ensures reliable transit information, enhanced safety features, and accessible design for all users. The project will pilot in Barcelona, and this scalable solution aims to improve the public transport experience globally. Read more.

  • Lane Patrol (Spain): Lane Patrol is a comprehensive tool for city planners and mobility experts to manage cycling networks. Its mobile app collects georeferenced data on 40+ infrastructure attributes and creates a digital map for monitoring. The smart dashboard provides data-driven insights and generates smart plans for prioritized maintenance and upgrades. Lane Patrol ensures transparency with clear reports and enables proactive, efficient infrastructure management through its dynamic, smart planning dashboard. Read more.
  • Mobi.deep (France): Mobi.deep designs and markets immersive solutions to support behavioural shifts. By donning a VR headset, users are immersed in everyday environments where they can buy a ticket and use public transport, use pedestrian satnav, ask for directions and find their way around a station. The interactive solution aims to familiarise people who may find getting around challenging with the practice of eco-mobility. Read more.
  • Ouicycle by France Quadricycle (France): France Quadricycle is developing OuiCycle, the first intermediate vehicle where everyone on board pedals. In just 12 minutes, it can be switched between one of three different configurations: a family version seating 4-6 (accessible for all four main disability types), a child carrier for 2 adults and up to 9 children, and a light commercial version. The OuiCycle is powered by an electric battery, generator pedals and a solar roof. Ideal for local authorities, it combines the benefits of cycling (good for health and the environment) and the practicality of a car. Read more.

 

Each start-up will have 3 minutes to pitch its project and try to convince the jury!
