Many European cities are experiencing sustained demographic growth, creating increased demand for high-capacity public transport. Metros are an appropriate, easy-to-use solution, offering high frequencies and commercial speeds as well as low greenhouse gas emissions. Running through the heart of a city, they enable socioeconomic development and urban and environmental transformation, thus making the city an even better place to live.
